Growing your business is something you are obviously good at, otherwise you wouldn’t be here! However not everybody has the time to stay up to date with all the latest technological changes, risks, and advancements that are happening at breakneck speed these days. This is nothing to be ashamed of and is something that is a lot easier to learn about than you would think. The biggest failings of consultant and business relationships are often unclear expectations, lack of detail in scope, and the absence of milestones that complete a project. To be clear, my goal is not for you to always rely on me, but for me to help you and your team become as self-sufficient as possible so that you are always in the driver’s seat.
Too often I have seen consultants continue to bleed a company after much of their work has been completed, and this is usually because they have built a solution that only they can manage. The biggest reason I decided to work for myself is because I am sick and tired of these practices, the multi-year agreements, lack of consistency and talent, poor support, etc. I could write a book about how terrible many of these vendors and companies are these days, but I would rather act than complain. After all, we need to be the change we want to see in the world, otherwise we can only expect more of the same.
Having worked across so many different types of industries and businesses, I have had the opportunity to learn about and work with hundreds of different products and tools that can help businesses scale and grow with less financial investment and expenditure of human capital. Many times, my customers are already paying for tools that can make their lives easier but are simply not leveraging them to bring out their full potential. Working together we can identify any shortcomings or common inefficiencies and build a game plan to eliminate them.
My biggest advantage is the ability to learn about other’s processes quickly and efficiently and bring to light solutions that may have not been thought of before. When you are laser focused on growing your business, we are all guilty of occasionally having the blinders on for too long.
